Dr Shakoor Hajat Researcher

Shakoor is an environmental epidemiologist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), firstly in the Epidemiology Unit in the Faculty of Epidemiology and Public Health, and now in Department of Social and Environmental Health Research.

His research interests focus on the public health impacts of climate variability and climate change.  Shakoor is an expert statistician and modeller in climate change issues.  He has worked as the lead researcher on Project 1 “Extreme Temperatures, air quality and mortality”.  He is also a research theme leader for the new NIHR Health Protection Research Unit on Environmental Change and Health.
