Professor Sujit Sahu Advisory Board Member and Pilot Project Researcher

Sujit Sahu (University of Southampton) is a Bayesian data scientist and modeller interested in understanding and interpreting large and complex space-time data sets. The primary aim of his research is to reduce uncertainty in inferential statements by developing predictive Bayesian models for the quantities of interests.

Since 2003 his research efforts have focused on modelling specific air pollution surfaces, for example, ozone and particulate matter concentration levels, and deposition levels of sulfate and nitrate compounds over the eastern United States.

Sujit has been a member of the advisory board for the MEDMI project and he has also worked as an investigator for the MEDMI pilot project, ‘Statistical downscaling of gridded air quality data’.
