Dr Wiebke Schmidt Research Technician

Wiebke is currently working at the NERC/ BBSRC funded project ‘ShellEye’ at the Centre for Geography, Environment and Society. The project aims to use satellite Earth Observation for monitoring water quality for shellfish aquaculture. She has a background in biological oceanography, toxicology and zoology gained from the Biological Oceanography (Biocean) programme at the Christian-Albrechts University in Kiel and University of Southern Denmark in Odense.

Wiebke worked with Dr Jessica Tyrrell on the Meniere’s pilot project for MEDMI.
